3. Den ru wolfram-koboltcarbid rundstang eller den ydre diameter af rundstangen kan raffineres og poleres i henhold til enhver tolerance. De gængse tolerancer er h5,h6, -0,005 osv., og karbidstængernes endeaffasning kan også bearbejdes.
4. Carbide stænger er velegnet til forarbejdning af almindeligt stål, støbejern, rustfrit stål, varmebestandigt stål, nikkelbase og titanlegering. Anbefales til almindelige hårdmetalværktøjsmaterialer såsom spiralbor, endefræsere, haner og pistolbor.
